Master link
This is the grade 80 link that forms the extreme upper terminal of a sling by means of which the sling hangs from the hook of a crane or other raising apparatus.
The use of master links is compulsory for both polyester and chain slings with 3 and/or 4 legs. However, for 1 and/or 2 leg slings, a simple oval link is used.
